Blogmas Week 1

I visited some family which is always lovely and I contented myself with the fact they had already broken out every Christmas decoration under the sun – it was great!

~ A Letter to November ~

So, it seems I may have messed my quote challenge up a little… or a lot. As Christmas music started playing in my first class last friday morning I realised that really cant keep putting this off! Despite not having done 30 consecutive days I’m still pretty pleased that I managed about half before the plan went completely out the window. I’m not 100% sure where it went wrong, I had my quote posts scheduled. They didn’t post and put simply I haven’t had a chance to sort it yet. I will over the next few weeks or so. For now however, I just feel like writing a little bit about the last month in a slightly different format to my usual ‘letter’s to’ series.

~ A Letter To October ~

Normally I write some kind of poem from whatever has happened in the last 30 days. I’m not going to do that for October though. Firstly, because I’m quite behind with it – I’m sure you’re aware that it is in fact no longer October… Opps… my mistake.

NaBloPoMo 30 Day Quote Challenge ~ Day 12

I left it a little late yesterday, I just didn’t realise the time and I unfortunately missed midnight. 😅 Today’s is ever so slightly earlier at least. “Mistakes are proof that you are trying.” – Unknown. NaBloPoMo 30 Day Quote Challenge ~ Day 11

Sorry folks – the day ran away with me for a moment there! “There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. one is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do & mostly live” – Dalai Lama

NaBloPoMo 30 Day Quote Challenge ~ Day 9

Today’s quote is also illustrated by my wonderful friend Cerise, from the sketchbook she made me! I’ve got to say just for that its one of my favourites; the typography is stunning. ❤

“Wake up. Kick Ass. Repeat.”

–  Uknown.

Its short, to the point and is what it says, what’s not to love??

Face today knowing that whatever you’re doing – you’ve 100% got it.

NaBloPoMo 30 Day Quote Challenge ~ Day 8

Hi all!

Happy Wednesday!

I would like to say that careful, considerate, detailed planning went into choosing today’s quote for today – a Wednesday. As, it is from the dedication of the book ‘All That She Can See’ by No. best-selling author Carrie Hope Fletcher ( who is also an actress currently touring as Wednesday in the Addams Family Musical.) But it would be a straight up lie, its not planned, just a happy coincidence that I now honestly  wish I’d thought of doing!

I absolutely adore this quote and had completely forgotten about it until last night. Therefore, I thought it perfect timing to add it to my quote challenge – it really resonates with me, particularly this week.

“To the voices in our heads that tell us we aren’t good enough: do be quiet.”

– Carrie Hope Fletcher.

Sorry about the quality of the writing; the downside to writing in your favourite colour is that it’s always the first to run out!

I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday and if you have any favourite quotes I would love to hear them?!

Tea Tasting Tuesdays ~ Afternoon Tea

Happy Tea Tuesday!

I have been spending all of this evening writing letters and learning lines and so by it’s very nature it demands a cup of tea as accompaniment! I thought I might as well take a moment to write about it as I take a break, since I decided to try a tea I haven’t gotten around to yet.

So, today I went for the ‘Afternoon Tea’ which is a fairly well known one, but I hadn’t tried it before; I thought why not give it a go? Aannnndd it’s from my Alice in Wonderland set which I’m utterly in love with!
